ACE Equity (Standalone)

ACE Equity database covers all companies listed in Indian stock exchanges. Data includes financial and non-financial information of companies and sectors. It covers company, sector, mutual funds, macro economy and digital library. The database provides financial and general information on each companies - balance sheet, P & L account with schedules and sub schedules, segment-wise finance, cash flow, forex data, a gamut of ratios, quarterly, half yearly and annual results with currency conversion facility, share price data, shareholding information, complete information of the derivative market, sectorial indices movements, array of high quality news, and bulletin of corporate events. It's included excel add-on for auto upgrade of company information. Please contact library to install offline database. Historical coverage: Last 15 to 20 years.

ACE Mutual Fund (Standalone)

ACE Mutual Funds Database is mainly used by distributors and for research. The database has the feasibility to generate reports, which is useful for both. It covers all schemes of AMCs and they are properly classified as well as categorized. Basic Details and essential information of all schemes is properly culled from the offer documents and is properly altered whenever there is a change made by the Fund house. All portfolio details whether Company, Asset, Industry, Rating and Maturity Profile, coverage of NAV and dividend details.

AIR (All India Reporter) (Standalone)

- AIR Criminal Law Journal (1950-June 2020)
- AIR High Court (1935-June 2020)
- AIR Supreme Court Weekly (1950-June 2020)
- AIR Privy Council (1900-1950)
Provides access to Indian cases and judgments of the particular area and jurisdiction. The database contains supreme court, high court and criminal law cases and judgments.

Bloomberg

Bloomberg database offers real-time and historical financial information on individual equities, stock market indices, bonds, fixed-income securities, currencies, commodities, and futures for international and domestic markets. It also provides company profiles and financial statements, analysts' forecasts, news on worldwide financial markets, and audio and video interviews and presentations by key players in business and finance.

CMIE ProwessIQ

CMIE Prowess IQ (Interactive Querying) provides the financial performance of Indian companies, its covers 52,205 companies financial data. It is internet-based application for querying CMIE's database on performances of listed and unlisted companies. It is simple and easy to use with virtually no installation and updation hassles. ProwessIQ provides charting tools and well-formatted reports on performances of companies. The reports provide financial information including analytical ratios and benchmark comparisons. Downloads of source documents such as annual reports, interim results, ratings rationales are part of the service.


Datastream (Incorporating WorldScope)

Historical, global coverage of equities, stock markets, commodities, futures, currencies, options, bond markets, company financials, and economic data. The database is updated daily, and historical equity information goes back as far as 1973, though coverage varies across countries and types of content. Sources include national governments, OECD, EIU, IMF, World scope, and Morgan Stanley Capital (MSCI).

District GVA of India (2011-12 to 2019-20)

The District GVA is the most complete and extensive database on the Indian economy at this fine geographic level. It was first published in 2006 (formerly DGDP) and is currently updated yearly. It offers information on the performance of the economy at the district level. More crucially, it gives sector-specific estimates of GVA for each district in India (as per Census 2011).

GVA by sector: Estimates of district value-added product for the three major sectors, Agriculture & Allied, Industry, Services, and 13 sub-sectors.

Power Lingo Fx25

Power Lingo is a digital language solution for learning more than 5 Indian & 27 foreign languages with 500 course modules. While there are numerous methodologies advocated by people on "how to learn foreign languages", Lingo Fx25 is a unique experience where all the different methodologies are brought together at one place. In essence, Lingo Fx25 is a collection of all the methodologies on foreign language learning and hence suits each and every learner's requirement. It includes languages like; French, Japanese, German, English, Spanish, Arabic, Russian etc. and Indian regional languages including Gujarati, Bengali, Punjabi, Tamil and Urdu.

Refinitiv Eikon (LSEG) (Standalone)

Provides current data of exchange-traded instruments including stocks, warrants, options, futures, indexes, etc. around the world, historical equity data ranging from several months to over 20 years, government and corporate bonds information from over 100 countries, foreign exchange rates for 175 currencies, comprehensive coverage on commodities and energy, economic indicators (e.g., consumer price index) for many countries, extensive business and financial information for listed companies.

 Overview

The Vikram Sarabhai Library has 170+ databases in its e-resources collection. The databases have been divided into different categories content wise like company & country database, scholarly resources, research support resources and legal databases. These databases fulfill the specific requirements sought by the users.

  • Most of the databases are accessible through IP, while some databases require log-in ID & password.
  • The faculty and existing students can access the databases off-campus through Remote Access.
  • The Databases should be used solely for academic and research needs and not for any commercial purpose.

The Vikram Sarabhai Library (VSL) is named after Dr. Vikram Sarabhai, world renowned physicist and founding Director of IIMA.
